Do you ever wonder if all certification exams are multiple choices? The answer is NO! ITIL Service Manager certification exam is one of the toughest exams I ever took.

It required us to be able to write the 10~15 pages during each part of exam and there are two parts of it ¡V Service Delivery and Service Support. Although it is really tough, the whole learning processes are great!

During the course, you will learn how to think on your feet and properly present suitable materials for the right audience. You will also get lots of interaction with the instructor and lots of teamwork with your classmates. Most importantly, you will begin to think why ITIL processes are important and how you can use it in your company or industry.

Some tips for future candidates:

  • Understand why and ask how? (Why does this process consider as best practice and how do I implement in my company? Any limitation?)
  • Understand the case study thoroughly. Try to apply each process to it and explain why it is suitable or not.
  • Use Mind Map to summarize the key points from the two official books.
  • Be well prepared. If running out of time, at least make sure you understand the concepts well.
  • Use ITIL terminology and way of thinking during the exam.
  • Give a good example from the case study to support your statement. Don't simply state something sounds true.
  • Write it in concise English and ensure the format of the document is pleasant and easy to read.
